Introducing the Sunset Lake Association of Portage County

Sunset Lake Association is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-stock corporation dedicated to the protection and preservation of Sunset Lake in Portage County, Wisconsin. Membership is open to any individual, family, business or organization, that (a) subscribes to the purposes of the Association and (b) owns or leases property within one mile of Sunset Lake; or (c) resides on or within one mile of Sunset Lake at least one month each year. First and foremost, the association aims to educate residents and the public about the importance of responsible lake stewardship. By raising awareness about the impacts of human activities on the lake and its ecosystem, the association hopes to promote behaviors that will help to preserve and enhance the quality of the water, fishery, and surrounding environment.

The Sunset Lake Association is dedicated to achieving its mission of preserving and protecting Sunset Lake and its surroundings through a variety of initiatives. This data is used to assist in management decisions, guide restoration efforts, and advocate for policies that support the lake's long-term health and sustainability.

To support these efforts, the Sunset Lake Association maintains an informative website that provides access to information on a wide range of topics The website also serves as a hub for community engagement, providing a platform for members to connect with one another, share their ideas and experiences, and work together to achieve the association's goals.
